Subject of the visit
A neighborhood of the poorest of Paris that is today one of the most chic. Broke writers and artists of the Roaring Twenties then the existentialist and feminists of the 50s have given way to the intellectual and rich left, chic cafes, luxury boutiques and art gallery of the 21st century
But the soul of the neighborhood is still there and writers of the lost generation as written by their leader Ernest Hemingway have forever engraved this neighborhood.
Being in Saint Germain is a bit like being immersed in the movie “Midnight in Paris”, you will be captivated by the power of the place and its rich history
During this visit our main theme will be Hemingway but we will talk about all artists from Oscar Wilde at the end of the 19th century to Saint Exupery and his little prince, through the congenerous Hemingway: Gertrude Stein, Picasso, Scott D Fitzgerald …. plus a real surprise about independence of America and much more.
