At the origin of our City was the Gallo-Roman city of Lutece. The Gauls were mainly in the island, but the romans developed also the south side of the river, what we name now: the Left Bank of the Seine,

the Latin Quarter is one of the oldest districts of Paris. The origin of its name dates back to the Middle Ages when this already student district brought together many schools providing education in Latin.

It is the meeting place for Parisians and tourists, who walk there in a friendly and lively atmosphere.
